How to wash a draught excluder without ruining the filling
Check the care label
Always follow the care label first. Washable excluders usually go in at a cool or moderate temperature.
Wash and dry
Use a gentle cycle and a mild detergent. Reshape the excluder by hand while damp and dry it away from direct heat, shaking it out now and then so the filling does not clump.
Keep it fresh
A hallway excluder collects dust and pet hair. A quick vacuum with a soft brush every few weeks keeps washing to a minimum.
