The complete guide
Choosing a draught excluder length for internal doors
Internal doors are narrower
Many internal doors in UK homes are 686mm or 762mm wide. A short excluder looks tidier and does not catch on skirting or furniture.
Match length to door
Measure the door width at the bottom edge and choose an excluder that is the same width or a few centimetres longer. If it is much longer, it can bunch against the wall or keep the door from fully opening.
Think about the hinge side
On the hinge side, a long excluder can stop the door opening wide. Place the dog so its nose points toward the latch side, leaving a little room next to the hinges.
