Draught-proofing wide doors: double, French and patio
Two leaves, one gap
A double door has two leaves, so the gap often runs along both and meets in the middle. A long excluder covers both leaves and the join.
Where the cold comes in
On a patio door the biggest leak is often at the threshold and at the meeting stile. Place the excluder across the threshold on the inside.
Measure the span
Measure the full width of the opening and add 5 to 10cm if you can. If the opening is wider than 107cm, use two excluders end to end, overlapping at the middle.
