About this draught excluder tape & foam strips
YANKUIRUI 6m White D-Profile EPDM Draught Tape (2 x 3m)
A D-profile seal looks like a capital D lying on its flat side: a hollow rubber bulb on a flat adhesive base. When a door or window closes it squashes the bulb flat, and when it opens the bulb springs back. That is why a D-profile is the usual choice for the narrow, even gap between a door and its frame.
This pack provides two 3m rolls in white EPDM. The material is a synthetic rubber that resists sun, rain and temperature swings better than cheap foam, and it holds its shape for longer. The adhesive backing has a grid pattern designed to grip a range of surfaces, including painted wood, uPVC and metal.
A pair of 3m rolls is the right amount for one standard door frame, with enough over for a window. Measure the gap first: the strip suits roughly 3 to 6mm, and a thicker one will stop the door closing. If you have gaps bigger than 6mm, choose a P-profile or a brush strip instead.
