About this draught excluder tape & foam strips
YingErTool 10m White 10mm Foam Draught Tape
If you are not sure what size of foam tape to buy, 10mm wide and 6mm thick is the sensible middle. It is thick enough to seal the common gap around a door frame, and thin enough not to stop a window latch from engaging. This roll is 10 metres in white, which makes it easy to run along a painted or uPVC frame.
The foam is described as weatherproof, resistant to dust and water and easy to work with, and the adhesive backing has a grid pattern to help it grip. The supplier lists many sizes in the range, so if the first roll proves too slim or too thick, the nearest alternative is easy to find.
Fit it by cleaning the frame, peeling back a short length of backing and pressing the tape along the rebate. Do not stretch it as you go, because stretched foam shrinks back and leaves a gap at the corners. Cut cleanly with scissors and butt the ends together at the corners.
